Standing Out with Originality
As the Broadway corridor west of Main Street undergoes a measured transformation, Broadway east of Main is now beginning its redevelopment into a more modern, dynamic neighbourhood. With Midtown Modern, PortLiving offers you a very attractive opportunity to get in on the early stage of growth for this corner of Mount Pleasant. Building on its success with Midtown – kitty corner at the intersection of Carolina Street and Broadway – Midtown Modern is the first redevelopment on the south side of East Broadway that will set the standard for the area’s renewal.
Midtown Modern is conveniently located at the intersection of major bus routes with express buses that swiftly link you with rapid transit lines only two stops away. A block south is the 10th Avenue bicycle route that safely connects you to Main Street, Brewery Creek, Riley Park, Commercial Drive, the False Creek seawall, and downtown where you will be spoiled for choice with leisure and recreation options, or you can choose to do your grocery shopping at Kingsgate Mall and relax with your neighbours at Guelph Park a block north along Carolina. For those wanting to be close to the action but live in a more tranquil residential area, Midtown Modern fits the bill.

Developer Team for Midtown Modern
Midtown Modern was designed for PortLiving by Studio B Architects, a boutique Vancouver design firm with expertise in complex commercial, institutional, and mixed use projects. For the past 20 years, the principals of Studio B have helped shape the landscape of sustainable architecture. Hands on, flexible design in a collaborative environment, well-honed listening skills, and careful site analysis make Studio B an ideal collaborator.
PortLiving was stablished in 2003 by Port Capital Group Inc., a Vancouver-based investment firm that began by focusing on developing pioneering projects in well-located, yet underserved and overlooked neighbourhoods. They strive to create working and living environments that are sustainable, practical, and serve to strengthen the city’s identity through good design and thoughtful intent. PortLiving’s most recent project, Midtown, is across the street at the opposite corner of East Broadway and Carolina.
Expected Completion for Midtown Modern
