Sophisticated Apartments in the Heart of Oakridge

Polygon Homes presents Claridge House, a mixed-use development coming soon to Oakridge at the corner of Cambie Street and West 41st Avenue. It consists of a 27-storey condominium tower and a 14-storey apartment tower connected by a shared 4-storey commercial podium. The ground floor will offer 12,500 sq ft of restaurant and retail space, while the upper podium floors are for offices. The top floor is market commercial space, while 46,000 sq ft on the lower two floors are set aside for non-profit organizations. A total of 213 homes are planned, of which 80 are market rental apartments and 133 are market condos, ranging from one to three bedrooms.

Just across the street, Oakridge Centre is currently being redeveloped. When completed in 2024, the cultural hub will offer 1 million sq ft of shopping and dining, a 100,000-sq-ft community centre, 10 acres of new urban parks, and a 3,000-seat music venue. The beautiful VanDusen Garden and recreational amenities of Queen Elizabeth Park are just a stone’s throw away. And with the efficient Canada Line accessible from the opposite street corner, downtown Vancouver, YVR, and Richmond city centre are all just 15 minutes away. Getting to the University of British Columbia is also convenient from the R4 RapidBus stop located on the north side of 41st Avenue.

Amenities at Claridge House
Two prominent public spaces will be located at ground level on the Cambie Street frontage. A “green grove” is envisioned for mid-block, where a landscaped courtyard located behind a porous architectural screen, will offer people a place to grab a meal or a coffee on their lunch break. A seating area will also be located at the corner of 42nd Avenue as a more appealing, quiet place for people to sit on a green street connection to a nearby park.

Building rooftops will be packed with green space, both for functional use and as green roof planting areas. All residents will be able to enjoy shared use of a podium rooftop deck with a fireside lounge, sun terrace, children’s play space, and family dining area with barbeques. Office workers and apartment tenants will also have their own separate amenity areas. A 1,841-sq-ft indoor amenity space with an adjoining terrace for condominium residents, will be located on the tower roof.

Parking and Storage
Four underground levels will provide 318 vehicle parking stalls — 155 condo, 115 office, 17 retail, 15 accessible — and 559 bicycle storage spaces. End-of-trip facilities for office workers are to include toilets, showers, sinks, and lockers. Short-term racks for 25 bicycles will be located on 41st and 42nd avenues. Off the lane will be five Class B and one Class A loading bays.
